I am Valorie Perkins, a native Wacoan. I am available to perform marriage ceremonies in McLennan and surrounding Counties across Texas. Being a Licensed and Ordained Minister since 2003 has enabled me to exemplify gifts, talents and skills for the needs of others.
Should your preference be for a Signature Signing of your Marriage License or perhaps a small wedding venue, you have found the right place. I am very knowledgeable with regards to procedures and requirements for obtaining a marriage license in McLennan and other Texas counties. Weddings by Joyful Creations is set up to give our clients the feel of a private ceremonial setting. Limited seating is available for guests. On most occasions, small décor changes can easily be made to include favorite color schemes. Making your special day memorable is our desire. As a Weddings by Joyful Creations Officiant, I am also available for destination wedding ceremonies. Whether you prefer a venue of your choice or our on-site chapel, your special day is what matters. Ask about suggested photographers, videographers, caterers, specialty cake designers, etc.
Consultations are welcome! I am available with flexibility Monday through Saturday. Special arrangements are available for Sundays as well as holidays (additional fees may apply).
It is with joy that I stand firmly to minister through the art of love. It is my belief that one's relationship should be built on unconditional love, being able to look beyond flaws and maintain focus on what matters most. PLEASE NOTE: TEXAS LAW MANDATES A REQUIREMENT OF A 72-HOUR WAITING PERIOD FROM THE TIME YOU OBTAIN YOUR LICENSE TO THE DATE OF YOUR MARRIAGE. ADD THREE DAYS TO THE DATE AND ABIDE BY THE EXACT TIME. IF YOU ARE ACTIVE MILITARY, THERE IS NO WAITING PERIOD.
My Story
It began about 4 years ago, after my son proposed to his bride to be. Thinking back I realized the knack for detail, order and simply pulling things together to make beautiful things happen. The nurturing spirit inside of me led me to start purchasing items with "wedding" in mind. Being able to watch from the sideline the joy of my now daughter-in-love's preparation and the breathtaking outcome, I was convinced there was something special in it for me to share with others. Soon after the wedding the passion was heightened and I began to nourish and cultivate the dreams and visions. Within the years to follow, doors opened that solidified it was a gifted desire from deep within to create better out of the less. I continued to seek from within if the vision was what was to be. Doors continued to open while some were closed that I might pursue the vision given to me. With joy I received every enlightened detail. I never had to take notes because the details stayed apparent in my mind. As time moved forward more and more happened to bring me to where I am today. There was no name initially given, yet when I sought and listened..I heard "Joyful Creations..for You". Well, why "Joyful Creations" I asked? The answer given was "because it gave Me joy to create mankind in Our image. The unconditional love began before creation." From the beginning of time, it's been all about love! There is no greater foundation for a solid relationship that will stand the test of time than one built on LOVE! "Weddings by" has been added to for today's technology searches.
After months of performing ceremonies in various chosen outdoor locations across the city. And not looking forward to the Texas Summer Heat, another door opened! As a central location, 1701 Columbus Avenue became the first brick and mortar location for Weddings by Joyful Creations in 2021! However, due to growth and expansion of 2022, WbJC, LLC relocated as of May 2022. Weddings by Joyful Creations is now located at 2121 W. Waco Dr., Suite B (next door to Home Instead Senior Care). Regardless of how simple of a ceremonial request, we are set up to offer you more. There are seasonal decor changes. A favorite color might be added to give the bride a sense of oneness. Therefore creating a customized service. Whereas the requirement for a witness(s) are no longer in effect, there is limited seating available. Images of your occasion can be shared upon request. In the growth and expansion of WbJC a venue has been added to host receptions with limited guests(additional fees will apply). Also a bride may choose the recently added Bridal Suite to dress for her special day(additional fees will apply). Should you have a "favorite" song which expresses your heart to one another.. that can be provided as well. Weddings by Joyful Creations, LLC was created with you in mind!
